Shelina can think of no other work environment that is more fun and rewarding than a preschool. She feels that it is extremely gratifying to know she is providing a safe, happy and high quality preschool program that allows parents to walk out of her school with peace of mind. She is excited to provide the students with the opportunity to develop into happy and confident learners who are prepared for school and life!

I have a 16 year old daughter and have lived in Orlando for 3 years. I was born in Long Island New York and moved to Florida in 2000. I have spent most of my years in Florida living in Merritt Island. I love Disney and hanging out with my family on the weekends. My favorite children's book is I Love You Forever.

    I began my teaching career in 2016 and have had the opportunity to work with children across all age groups. In 2018, I earned my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree, which I will receive in December 2025. I am passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences and especially love witnessing those "a-ha" moments when a concept clicks for a child. One of my favorite children’s authors is Mo Willems, and Charlotte’s Web remains a beloved favorite from my own childhood.

I have been with Goddard for 2 years now. I have been married for 34 years. I have 2 wonderful children and 2 healthy grandchildren. I have my AA in Early Childhood Education and a certificate from the Orlando Science Center with the STEM program. In my spare time, I like crafting, light gardening and spending time with my grandchildren. I chose this field because of my passion is working with children, music, and captivating my classroom through engaging, thought-provoking activities. I am a mother of twins. When they were toddlers, I decided to further educate myself in childcare and earned an International Teaching Diploma at the preschool/kindergarten level.     Hi, my name is Ms. Lydia. I have been teaching three-year old's since 2003. I love to teach and enjoy all of the learning fun and experiences we get to have together. I have 1 year of college which I obtained in Louisville at the Jefferson Community College. I have DCF training courses, 45 DCF hours plus an additional 120 hours of online and in class training. I also have NICCM CDA Fast Track/Certificate and my CPR training. Getting these courses have helped me to become a better teacher and have given me tools and resources to help the children, parents and my coworkers. I am happily married to my husband and have 2 adult children. I also have 3 dogs; Pip, Onyx and Toby. One of my favorite quotes is: "It takes a big heart to help shape little minds."
